This series of BioAuthorizePDA is a unique combination of Employee tracking and Access control applications based on the fingerprint identification technology. This application sets up access control system at the entrance or wherever desired. The system typically records details such as time of entry and exit apart from maintaining relevant information regarding the employees and their department, shifts, location, leaves status etc. Through BioAuthorizePDA companies can secure their restricted areas as well track employees' movement and record details with respect to the time of entry and exit to any restricted area.

BioAuthorizePDA totally eliminates the deficiencies of other access control applications like smart cards, swipe cards etc. as it ensures that both proxy and unauthorized access is effectively avoided, which are inherent problems in those applications. BioAuthorizePDA is designed for both standalone and fully networked scenario and could be installed with ease. BioAuthorizePDA is a self-contained unit with a powerful Intel®-based processor; does not require any computer at the entry or exit level and can be wall-mounted.

How it works?

The software consists of three modules namely BioAuthorizeFS20 Registration, BioAuthorizeFS20 and BioAuthorizeOA Management Console.

Registration Module

Employees register through this module by entering Employee Code, department and other relevant details. During registration employees are required to 'scan' their fingers on the sensor 3-5 times. The process ends when they get a message “‘xxxxx’ registered successfully”. FS88/FS80 can be used for registering the fingers. However FS20 itself can be used for registering

BioAuthorize FS20 Reader

Here the user walks in and places his finger on the scanner of the FS20 reader. The fingerprint is then scanned and the fingerprint identified. It then displays the employeecode of the employee on the LCD. Various statuses like In and Out can be configured using the keypad options.

BioAuthorizeOA Management Console

This module allows administrators to manage information with respect to employees, departments, shifts, activities, leave, holidays and any other organizational activity that needs to be tracked with respect to the employees. The following are some of the reports that can be generated from BioAuthorizeET:

Are there any limitations on the number of users supported by BioAuthorizePDA?

No. There are no limitations to number of users supported.

Can BioAuthorizePDA work with a dead finger; plaster case mould of a finger or a fake fingerprint?

No. BioAuthorizePDA works with live fingers alone.

Can BioAuthorizePDA work with a fingerprint impression lifted off a surface?

No. BioAuthorizePDA works with fingerprint impressions captured by U.R.U sensors alone.

Can fingerprints captured by BioAuthorizePDA be used for authorized access to other systems?

Fingerprints registered by BioAuthorizePDA are 128-bit encrypted (one-way irreversible encryption). This prevents misuse and unauthorized access to other systems that use fingerprints for authentication.

How many fingerprints can BioAuthorizePDA register for the same user?

BioAuthorizePDA currently supports the registration of one finger per user. However, the options for registering multiple fingers for a user can be included in the application, if the need be.

How are fingerprints stored in the BioAuthorizePDA database?

BioAuthorizePDA stores a fingerprint as a mathematical template. This data is 128-bit one-way encrypted. Fingerprint images are not stored in the database. This prevents abuse of fingerprint data.

Can BioAuthorizePDA work with more than one Fingerprint sensor for greater efficiency ?

Yes. This is available as an optional feature.

Can BioAuthorizeET work with more than one Fingerprint sensor for greater efficiency ?

Yes. A Dual sensor option is available.
